Annie E. Casey Foundation (AECF)

disadvantaged children and their families in the United
States. The primary mission of the Foundation is to
foster public policies, human services reforms, and

The Mission of
Baltimore Housing is to
ensure that all citizens of Baltimore City have access to
adequate and affordable housing opportunities in safe,
livable and decent neighborhoods.

The
Coalition to End Childhood Lead
Poisoning is a non-profit organization whose
mission is to prevent childhood lead poisoning. Recognized nationally for its innovative work, the Coalition
currently serves the East Baltimore Community as a Family
Advocacy services provider

For more
than thirty years the East Baltimore Community Corporation (EBCC)
has serviced the residents of East Baltimore in the
following areas 1) education, 2) health care services, 3)
youth & family problems, 4) housing development and 5) job
training and placement. The Corporation played a major role
in the creation of the New Dunbar High School Center and the
creation of the East Baltimore Medical Center, established
to provide comprehensive health care services as a Health
Maintenance Organization (HMO). The Medical Center has
serviced some 45,000 individuals providing comprehensive
health and mental services.

Maryland Department of Business and
Economic Development
DBED's mission is to
attract new businesses, stimulate private investment and
create jobs, encourage the expansion and retention of
existing companies and provide businesses in Maryland
with workforce training and financial assistance. The
department promotes the State's many economic advantages
and markets local products and services at home and
abroad to spur economic development, international trade
and tourism. Because they are a major economic
generator, the department also supports the arts, film
production, sports and other special events.

Maryland Department of Housing and
Community Development
Created in 1987, the
Maryland Department of Housing and
Community Development (DHCD) is a
cabinet-level State agency committed to expanding
homeownership, strengthening communities, and protecting
the state's cultural heritage. DHCD's programs focus on
increasing affordable work-force housing, revitalizing
neighborhoods, and preserving Maryland's historic sites
and traditions.
THE
HARRY AND JEANETTE WEINBERG FOUNDATION, INC.
The Harry
and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Incorporated is a private,
not-for-profit institution dedicated to aiding those
unfortunate people who by reason of poverty, disability,
failing health and/or advanced age are unable to adequately
help themselves. The Foundation, which was established in
1959 by Harry and Jeanette Weinberg, makes grants to
charitable organizations which will use the additional
funding to benefit predominantly those individuals whose
financial resources are less than the financial resources of
fifty percent of the members of the relevant community to
which such beneficiaries belong. The late Harry Weinberg
was actively involved in real estate and other business
pursuits throughout many areas of the United States, with
primary concentrations in several of the Hawaiian Islands,
Baltimore, Maryland and Scranton, Pennsylvania. His late
wife, Jeanette, was an avid painter and philanthropist
