East
Baltimore Development Inc. (EBDI) is a non-profit
501(c)(3) organization charged with leading and managing
the $1.8 b illion revitalization of an 88-acre portion of
East Baltimore. EBDI works with support from a long list
of partners
including the City of Baltimore, the State of Maryland, and a
number of local civic groups and charitable Foundations.
The organization is headquartered at the EBDI Community Resource
Center at 1731 E. Chase Street, in the very East
Baltimore neighborhood that is undergoing
revitalization. The Administration Center is located at 1809
Ashland Avenue, also in East Baltimore.
EBDI’s
work is governed by a
board of directors that
includes government officials, community members,
business and academic leaders and representatives of
philanthropic organizations.
Key
EBDI organizational areas include : 1) Finance and
Human Resources 2) Operations, 3) Communications &
Outreach, 4) Data Management & Analysis, 5) Family
Services, 6) Relocation and Acquisition, and 7) Real
Estate Development. The goal of all staff is to work to
recapture the essence of East Baltimore, and restore the
community’s vibrancy and productivity.
