Resident's Corner

Community leaders, elected officials and business leaders, as well as other stakeholders have been working together for the past several months to help realize the shared vision for a revitalized East Baltimore. Many remember the area when it was a thriving community, supported by jobs in steel, shipping and automotive industries. It was a diverse neighborhood that included business owners and professionals with strong extended families supported by equally strong faith and community institutions.

EBDI and its partners seek to recapture this spirit, and return the community to its vibrant, productive roots. EBDI is committed to providing the community with news, information and support as we move through the various phases (including relocation, rehabilitation, site preparation and construction) of this ambitious effort. It is important that the current residents of the community feel informed and empowered as we move forward. The information on these pages is designed to answer key questions and concerns, as well as provide information on upcoming events.
