Elev8 Baltimore, an initiative of EBDI, partners with schools and the community  to make sure that every student is ready to succeed in high school.

Elev8 works currently in four schools in East Baltimore: Collington Square School and the East Baltimore Community School, Dr. Rayner Browne Academy, and Tench Tilghman Elementary/Middle School.

Launched in August 2009, Elev8:

• Offers out-of-school-time activities to students to complement their academics – the kinds of opportunities every child needs and deserves.
• Provides high-quality health services and infuses health education for students and parents into school activities.
• Links families and students to community resources.
• Engages students and families so that they can be effective advocates for themselves and their communities.

Elev8 has over 25 partners, including schools, foundations, health centers and community-based service providers. Elev8 Baltimore’s key supporters include Atlantic Philanthropies,  the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the Baltimore Community Foundation.
